April Goals

Let me see a show of hands…is anybody else ready for spring as much as I am?? Here in South Carolina, we were teased with beautiful 75 degree weather a few weeks ago and then winter decided to give us one last chill. Unfortunately, this meant that our daffodils, my favorite spring bloom, didn’t survive as long as usual. But now the warmth is coming back and the dogwoods and azaleas are coming to life. I’m looking forward enjoying the outdoors more now with all my upcoming shoots. April is quite a busy month with lots coming up, so stay tuned for more photo posts!

So my goals this month are:

- Finish spring cleaning for business clutter as well as personal. I started tackling this when I was doing my taxes (filing old receipts, shredding papers, moving client files, etc.) and then I got on a kick and began cleaning clothes out my closets. Now I have two huge boxes to sort through for Goodwill and some unfinished filing left, so I need to finish this project before wedding season and editing take over soon!

- Take time to experiment with different photography techniques.

- Go through all the Free Wedding entries and pick a winner!! If you haven’t entered yet, don’t forget the deadline is April 22 and the winner is announced on May 1. Go do it now!

- Take my niece Emma for a picnic in the park.:)

Completed March goals:

Whenever I’m working from home,  get out and enjoy this beautiful weather by taking a walk.- DONE, and I am enjoying this one a lot. The fresh air is doing wonders for me and my work-flow!

Finish my taxes.- DONE, Thank goodness my Daddy knows so much about business taxes. He was my saving grace!

Work on the minor changes to my branding and order the new packaging supplies I need.- DONE, and I FINALLY finished my online fill-in forms for new clients, Client Expectations booklet, and new Pricing Guide too. Instead of having them all printed, like I initially wanted, I found a great online publisher. Even better, it’s FREE! I think it’s the neatest thing cause you can flip through the pages just like a magazine! Yay for being eco-friendly!

Also, on a different note, I wanted to say congratulations to Megan and Ryan Howard, one of my married couples from last year. They just welcomed Macyn Lucia into the world on April 2. This precious little baby is so lucky to have such wonderful parents…I can’t wait to meet her Meg and Ryan!

And I can’t leave you without a photo, so here’s one taken on my iPhone of a recent trip to the Georgia Aquarium. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend it!

Rose Fogarty - What a very impressive writing! I am so excited I stumbled your page. Keep up the great work. Have a good day!October 20, 2011 – 9:14 PM
