I asked Katie to tell me a few things that attracted her to her future husband and the first thing she said was his smile. Before the wedding I sensed that Lee was a little nervous and I even had to coerce some smiling from him for portraits, but after the ceremony when he walked back down the aisle hand-in-hand with his new wife Katie, I was able to experience the genuine smile that she fell in love with. That smile didn’t leave his face for the rest of the night. These two were made for each other and their love is so apparent. Katie and Lee, thank you for letting me be a part of your day!

Their wedding was at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Columbia and it is seriously one of the prettiest churches I have ever seen. The architecture and stained glass are unbelievable.

I love this one…Katie, you’re stunning.

It never fails. The father/daughter dance almost always makes me get teary-eyed. Katie and Lee had a slide show during their reception showing photos of their childhood and their relationship. When the photos of a younger Katie and her Dad came up during their dance together, I had to bite my lip and hold it together! It was such a touching moment to capture as Katie got emotional too.

The way he looks at Katie makes me smile.![]()

As part of their wedding favors, Katie and Lee gave out Moon Pies next to a sign thanking their guests for sharing their special day and saying “We love you to the moon and back”. I thought it was such a cute idea and had to sneak one of the Moon Pies away for some special shots!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Hope! I wish you all the happiness in the world!
